We call on the Parliament to establish a Royal Commission of Inquiry into:

The health, social, economic, and law enforcement costs of the Drug Prohibition.

The laws do not stop people from using drugs or protect families. After 50 years of harsh enforcement, illicit drugs are more available than ever.

Will you help us convince the government that the war on drug users does more harm than good?

    Terms of reference should be evidence-based and include an economic analysis of costs to individuals, the health system, opportunity costs of foregone employment. Discrimination on the basis of drug usage is a current cost. The costs and benefits of drug legalisation should be showcased.


    Not only drug usage but multi-pronged strategies which develop skills and capabilities for employment should be included.
  • Politicians take money from the alcohol industry to fill their political coffers while at the same time continue to wage a senseless prohibition on cannabis. Are our politicians acting like crime bosses to eliminate the competition of recreational cannabis on behalf of the alcohol industry?
  • The illegal drug policy in Australia had cost billions if not trillions dollars in public money and has not worked, we need a big change of direction, to treat them as a health issue, government need to make the right decisions as to protect its citizens
