Petition for a Drugs Royal Commission

We call on the Parliament to establish a Royal Commission of Inquiry into:

The health, social, economic, and law enforcement costs of the Drug Prohibition.

The laws do not stop people from using drugs or protect families. After 50 years of harsh enforcement, illicit drugs are more available than ever.

Will you help us convince the government that the war on drug users does more harm than good?

Please do something to stop this War, so many life’s devastated, so many criminal convictions, so few treatment options, so many hours spent in prison. The cost has been astronomical!

I am a pyschosocial recovery coach 31 years clean and sober and free from all medication with 30 years lived experience. My lived experience is developing recovery homes for dual diagnosis that offers a safe environment for detox, medication regulation and create a design for living spiritually in long term recovery. Urgently needed is a royal commission and the truthful facts about addiction and alcoholism without flourishing terms like drug misuse, drug “äbuse” Happy to speak with anyone requiring information regarding my 30 year experiencing as I have lived with anyone wanting to be clean and sober whether medicated or not and their families and what I have learn’t as a live-in pyschosocial addiction consultant and the stigma and discrimination we experience when reconstructiong our lives from active addiction, a disease effecting everyone in one way or another whether we are using or not. Working with government departments daily, corrections, centrelink, job network providers and community agencies. Harm minimization begins with me and you to become us and together change government legislation. Would love to hear from you, from anyone making and creating change.
